This year’s World Environment Day will be hosted by China, with a theme of “Air Pollution”. WED 2019 urges governments, industry, communities, and individuals to come together to explore renewable energy and green technologies, and improve air quality in cities and regions across the world.
To celebrate World Environment Day locally, explore these topics with regional experts and enjoy refreshments, socializing and deep breaths of fresh air at Portland’s beautiful Lan Su Chinese Garden.
Presenters include:
Christine Kendrick, City of Portland’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS)
Raphaela Hsu-Flanders, Oregon Environmental Council
Justin Blackwell, Lan Su’s Garden Curator
Co-hosted by GPSEN, HI USA Portland Hawthorne, UNA-Portland, and the Lan Su Chinese Garden & Friends.
Thanks to the generosity of the Lan Su Chinese Garden, admission is free for the first 50 tickets, but pre-registration is required. Please register below.
No-host bar and light snacks provided.
